About Us

We are a friendly, creative group of women of varying ages and abilities who share a sense of fun and camaraderie.

We love our community and invest in it, playing an active role in community events and activities.

Our members meeting [3rd Wednesday] starts with a brief review of WI matters and events followed by a speaker and then a short activity or challenge [if time allows].

We have a monthly crafting session [1st Wednesday] usually led by one of our many skilled members, or with an expert tutor if we want to try something new.

Members can also enjoy a range of additional activities such as cinema & theatre trips, walks, visits to gardens, a book club, or lunch out at a local venue.

Our normal meeting place is the Slaithwaite Cricket Club but we use an alternative venue in the village during the summer when cricket matches are being played.

You would be very welcome to come along to any of our meetings to see if the WI suits you before you decide to join.
